“Virginia is a rare breed of dietitian and healer. Her work is both deeply wise and deeply grounded. Her commitment to body justice, fat affirmation, inclusion, and equity is everpresent and palpable. Virginia is a resource and a breadth of knowledge who leads with warmth, presence, and her humanity. She is practiced and understanding at sitting with complexity and is honoring of lived experience. What’s Included in Body Liberation Coaching?
Body Liberation coaching is a lovely offer for those interested in short term support for their food and body healing journeys.
In 5 supported sessions we will explore:
What is coming up for you with your current chapter of healing (examples could be a new diagnosis, a major life shift bringing up old wounding, raising children and navigating feeding and body image for yourself and them, body shifts, aging, etc)
Identify and remove (if possible) barriers to moving yourself towards a place of more gentleness and ease with food and your body
A wider lens of context for your struggle and ways to validate your personal experiences of struggle and harm, along with ways that you can tend to these for yourself. The problem was never your body, and we will begin or continue to externalize the problem outside of you, from where it came.
You will have the opportunity to get referrals, explore questions to ask and boundaries to implement when it comes to working with medical professionals, family, loved ones, and other healers in regards to honoring your unique healing process. Together we will identify the places where it feels most resonant to focus as you continue your ongoing healing beyond our time together.
What you get:
Workbook prior to our first session that will help you and I gather the pertinent details of where you have been, where you are now, and what you are hoping to get from coaching with me.
5 virtual guided and supported sessions with me (1st session is 90 minutes, follow-up four sessions are 60 minutes). Our sessions will be a space to go deep and grapple, to be relieved with humor, to be witnessed, held, and validated.
Text/ voice memo/ email support in between sessions, a place to vent, connection and witnessing when triggered, reminders of your truth and values, snack and meal prompts for ideas, brainstorm space, and a place to be witnessed in successes and ah ha moments.
