When people ask me about what I do…
I give people neutral and caring space to move the griefs of their day out of the way.
I cultivate safety, comfort, and connection as they explore their food and body behaviors, feelings, and contexts.
I reflect ah-ha moments, larger griefs, and social contexts, using intuition as a guide as to where and how.
I cultivate relationship and connection.
I continue to foster my relationship to myself and my own intuition, while identifying trauma responses, fragilities, and trauma lineages.
I gather support for myself and my people.
I continue learning, unlearning, and relearning, seeking out lived experience voices.
I funnel money towards activism and reparations.
I commit to my continued healing, trauma processing, and joy.
What do I do all day?!?! I also sometimes use my degree and clinical experience for education where appropriate, talk about poop 💩, and navigate our broken medical system with whole humans in it as an insurance provider (and managing my rage at the exploitative nature of insurance companies ✌🏻)
Also I mentor dietitians (and therapists!) in eating disorder care ✨ if you are curious about getting support in this work from me- please reach out!
